General Terms & Travel Conditions

1.1. Bookings

Each booking needs to be made via mail, either postal or electronic. Please include your name, date of the cruise, number of places reserved, passenger names (as in passport) and any special requests.

2.1. Inclusions
  • Transfers to/from airport or hotel at embarkation port
  • Accommodation in double/twin cabins with ensuite shower, WC & AC
  • Full board: all soft drinks, beers, espresso, cappuccino, premium tea & snacks (wine & spirits excluded)
  • Up to four dives/day (none on embarkation/disembarkation days) with qualified guides; missed dives are not refundable
  • Nitrox fills for certified divers (courses on request, extra charge)
  • 12 L tanks, weights & belts
  • Multilingual cruise director on board
  • All offered excursions
2.2. Exclusions
  • Pre/post-cruise hotels & flights
  • Excess luggage fees
  • National marine-park fees, fuel surcharges, harbour fees (subject to change)
  • Long-distance cruise fuel surcharges (market-driven)
  • Dive rental gear, courses & 15 L tanks
  • Dive & travel insurance (we recommend DAN & TravelGuard)
  • Crew gratuities (suggested US $20/day/guest)
  • On-board massage
  • Wine & spirits

3.1. Prices

All prices are quoted in USD per cabin (double/twin occupancy).

3.2. Deposit & Balance

A 20% deposit is due within 10 days of invoicing. Balance is due 90 days before departure. For bookings made <90 days prior, full payment is due upon booking.

4.1. Individual Bookings
  • More than 90 days before departure: 20% of total invoice
  • 89–60 days before: 50%
  • 59–0 days or no-show: 100%

Date changes are treated as cancellations and incur the same fees.

4.2. Charters (Part or Full)
  • More than 180 days before departure: 20%
  • 179–91 days before departure: 50%
  • 90 days–departure or no-show: 100%
4.3. Substitute Passenger

You may transfer your booking to another passenger (in writing at least 3 days before departure) subject to the same terms.

4.4. Cruise Cancellation/Itinerary Changes

Samambaia Liveaboard reserves the right to cancel or alter itineraries for:

  • Customer-caused issues
  • Failure to meet minimum passenger numbers (min. 5)
  • Force majeure (weather, epidemics, war, etc.)

In case of trip cancellation by us, a full refund of amounts paid will be issued, or alternative dates offered without surcharge.

4.5. Trip Cancellation Insurance

We strongly recommend comprehensive cancellation, medical evacuation, dive & luggage insurance.

4.6. COVID-19 Cancellation

No refunds on deposits. We will reschedule your cruise at current rates without any rebooking fee.

Passengers must declare any mental, physical or other disabilities at the time of booking. We reserve the right to refuse service if safety is at risk.

Samambaia Liveaboard is not liable for injury, illness or death arising from use of any conveyance, hotel, common carrier or equipment, whether terrestrial, aerial or marine. All such risks are assumed by the passenger.

We accept no responsibility for acts of war, insurrection, riots, epidemics or natural disasters. In case of medical evacuation, all costs are the passenger’s responsibility.

Our services begin at the embarkation port; you are responsible for your arrival and punctuality.
